Kings and Queens

Yesterday was a good day. No, actually if was a wonderful day. I went to school, which went by quicker then quick then headed out to see my friend showing at his schools gallery. I never realized how good of an artist he was, and I never give him the credit he deserves, but after all the “social networking” and realizing how many people appreciate what he has done I finally see how far he can go. How corny of me but 'tis true.

So then we (Jac, Justin, and myself) headed up to Roseland ballroom to see 30 Seconds To Mars, which I was kind of dreading, and Mutemath, which I was pretty stoked for. We decided to not wait on the ridiculously long line of pissed off looking fans and went to Starbucks instead. We walked abound for a bit and an hour or two into the show we decided to go and see who’s was playing. We walked in when Neon Trees we’re on...

I, personally wouldn’t see them live again but I might listen to there album. The lead singers voice is pretty impressive.

An hour passes and Mutemath comes on. I have nothing but amazing things to say about there set. Especially the drummer, oh man this guy was fucking off, and not in a bad way. He was ridiculously ridiculous. Although the crowd was extremely boring, and smelly as always, I enjoyed every second of their set. I’ll probably listen to them for a good month and might get over them again.#WOMP

See them live, I got the chills!

So after Mutemath played, 30 Seconds To Mars took forever teching and setting up. By the way, I was so unsure about seeing them because of Jared Leto. I mean I like his movies, he’s quite the charming (douche bag) fellow but I can’t real tolerate the whole actor turn musician. It’s all just so sketchy; it’s as easy as acting the part. Just as Death Cab for Cutie member Nick Harmer recently said “he's just acting the part of a rock star”. Also between all these different  “rock-star phases” I JUST DON’T KNOW. On one hand I want to say, Dude, your 38 not 13...find yourself already and stop trying to look like Kurt Cobain, and on the other hand there just haircuts, Madonna still transitions, and I get that.

BUUUUUT, now I’m even more stuck. Last night was so amazing I can’t stand it. Aside from him his use of the work "FUCK" and every other curse word over 100 times, there performance overall was good shit amazing.

So shitty band or not, go see them live and I'm positive it’ll change your perspective a bitBy the way, there was soo much groupie love. It was actually kind sad. Sorry ladies, but that's never cute.
