I've always enjoyed the idea of have a record player in my kitchen. When I finally move out, cooking while listening to my soon to be extensive vinyl collection is spinning is just a good phenomenal feeling...even though we all know I can't cook. My boss also gave me the new Heartless Bastards album. Now I just need a record played, and batteries for my CD player...until then, I promise these won't collect dust because I always figure something out.
"It's un fair that we can't listen to our music.""It's because it is about drugs and promiscuous sex.""Simon and Garfunkel is poetry.""Honey, they're on pot.""It is the poetry of drugs and promiscuous sex."
What records do you think are crucial to have in a collection? Share with me!
Oh I wish I had a record player too! Love your collection (I sadly don`t own any records myself).

Doesn't mean you shouldn't start one. Get goin' and share haha
DeleteOh my God, you got a thought across without having to use the "xD" emoticon. I love you already. Also, I love your make-up, and your taste in music. And as totally and painfully cliche as it is (bear with me) the first record I ever listened to ever was Abbey Road-- I don't even own any records or a record player, but that's a distant dream of mine. One day, goodness. But you have the Beach Boys and Simon Garfunkel, so I think you're set in case you ever, God forbid, feel so down you just want to punch a hole through your wall.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the other day I asked my dad if he listened to Simon & Garfunkel when he was younger, and he gave me this weird look and said "They were weird." And I was so upset to hear this, but now I know exactly what to reply to that-- thank you.
Haha, "xD's" are the worst. Most of me hates emoticons unless it's like a winky face. My makeup? I think you mean my lipstick, I think this is the first time I put a picture up with no makeup on. Feeling kind of weird! I wish I could say the same. The first record I've ever purchased was Mandy Moore's "Candy"? Sad, I know. I only got into the Beatles a little less than a year ago. Sad, I KNOW! As for first record I listened to, let's just say I can't even remember my 4th grade teachers name.
DeleteSo happy you came on over to my blog, I really enjoy yours. Best part is we both don't like the same Beatles, so one more reason to like you even more haha.
Simon and Garfunkel ARE weird and on pot ;)
So beaut Sushi!
ReplyDeleteLadies and gentlemen, @AnnelMary ^
DeleteSeems like you have a lot of good classics already! I think if I had a record player, I would have to have a record by the ramones, the clash, the strokes.. just a few of my favourite bands. My boyfriend has like three record players and a pretty extensive collection. He seems to really like vinyl.
ReplyDeleteME TOO! Ramones, The Clash, and the Strokes are probably some of my favorite bands ever! I'm jealous, tell him to hook me up haha
DeleteAmazing records, I especially adore Simon and Garfunkel <3
