To know that someone you're close to can write such sad lyrics will always be interesting.

He's at it again guys, but this time Alec Troise of Yukon is finally of age. But ladiez, don't drop your panties just yet. In "well, whatever happens, happens",  the 5-song release has a haunting-down-in-the-dumps vibe but because the tracks are so beautifully raw they kind of trick your mind into thinking they might be something they're not.

It's sad in the "I wanna kiss you on the cheek, and tell you everything is going to be okay" kind of way but secretly you know that it might not be because the topics he focuses on are so gray. On a lighter note, this ep is packed with pop references. In "I'm sorry I'm such an idiot" my favorite line is carelessly sung, "so i kissed some other girls and drank till my thoughts were drowned but still remembered you said "i love you, but yr bringing me down"; you kept it short and terse and i laughed to myself cos those are my favourite lyrics that james murphy ever wrote, but you didn't even mean to make the reference". C'mon guys, we all know all and any James Murphy reference is a good reference.  

Go buy these phenomenal tracks, or wait until Friday, like me (pay day, what up?)!
